Everybody is not a writer but everybody seeks self-expression not necessarily to write but to reflect, to unload, to think clearly and to understand what is happening and why.
It was one such phase when our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, then just a party worker got into the habit of writing letters to Mother Goddess, whom he addresses as Jagat Jnani.
Modi shared his innermost thoughts with her every night before going to bed. But every few months, when the pages filled up his diary, he would systematically tear up those pages and light a bonfire, until a friend visiting him admonished him!
Modi describes these letters as conversations with the Goddess, “My feelings of fear…of anxiety…of distress…Ordinary feelings of an ordinary man”.
