Red Turban White Horse by Nandini Bajpai

Nandini Bajpai’s young adult fiction, Red Turban White Horse was launched at the Jaipur Marriott Hotel, on 6th July 2013. Nandini was in conversation with author Anuja Chauhan.

Red Turban White Horse: My Sister’s Hurricane Wedding

Chronicling Mini’s adventures as she sets out to plan her sister’s “big, fat, Indian wedding”, all of which threatens to fall apart as a monster hurricane heads for Boston, putting her plans for her sister’s dream wedding, and the white horse, in jeopardy.

Speaking about the book, Nandini says, “The ‘Young Adult’ phase is a precarious, fun, and challenging one, caught between two worlds—that of children and adults. With my children facing this dilemma at this stage in their lives, I only found it fitting to write about the “perils” of being a grown up, but not just yet.”

Nandini grew up in New Delhi, one of four sisters and many cousins, in a family that liked to read. She lived and worked in India, Australia, and the US, before settling in the Boston area with her husband, kids, and a fluctuating number and variety of pets. Although she dabbled in corporate finance, business analysis, and fostering shelter animals, her first love is writing. This is her first book.
