Bhanu is Indian cinema’s most well-regarded costume designer, having worked in over 100 films, since 1950s, with noted filmmakers in India and abroad. She has received numerous awards including the Oscar Award for Costume Designing for the film Gandhi and National Film Awards for Lagaan and Lekin.
