Breaking News
Tania Singh, a Bollywood journalist and wife finds herself on the other side of the firing line. Mired in controversy is her biography on her husband, veteran Bollywood star, Dev Singh entitled Cut To Cut where a wife spills the beans on her husband's sexual escapades in an oh-so-Tania Singh "dare-all, bare-all" style. News breaks when Dev Singh publicly denounces the book and accuses his wife of writing 'cheap gossip'. Initially everyone thinks it to be a publicity gimmick knowing the couples' rock solid marriage for nearly two decades. But Tania is shocked and embarrassed nevertheless.
Tania first decides to halt publications of her book. Till she realises that was exactly what certain parties wanted of her. So she goes ahead with her book launch and then decides to get to the bottom of the story. A story that unravels uncomfortable truths. A story that exposes filmy tabloid journalism and the nexus between Mumbai's sleazy film industry and its equally incestuous film journos. A story also about the downside of the publishing world.
Breaking News is a thrillingly light-hearted urban satire, looking at the follies and foibles of Mumbai's media politics and Bollywood from someone who has a ringside view of both.
