Sathya is the editor of ME, a monthly magazine. In the past, Sathya has edited Femina and been on the Board of governors of the NIFT. She is
currently Adjutant Professor at NIFT, Bombay where she teaches Fashion Journalism. She
has authored a book of short stories, Night Train and other Stories. Her latest publication is a biography, 10 years with Guru Dutt: Abrar Alvi’s Journey. Her latest publication is From Me To You, a collection of some of her editorials.
86 Mount Road
It is a novel set in a rambling house and gardens belonging to the childless widow of a renowned surgeon, whose large extended family gathers there for the summer. The stories are linked through the characters who flit through the house and encounter each other, and initiate or catalyse incidents that are sometimes very real and often inexplicable. Through them, the scattered family that comes together on and off is revealed and in the process, life across three generations is showcased.
