Susmita Srivastava writes poems for children. Her work has been published as part of an anthology of women's writing by Sulekha, and by the online magazine, Muse India. She works for the Indian Railways.

Obigools and Others is a collection of poems and tales by a mother and her very young daughter united in their love for the written word and for the fantastic or bizarre. It is a journey into a world called the Menagerie, which is to be found behind a dining-room bookcase, populated by strange characters, each of whom has a tale of his own.
