Siddharth Sonkar

Siddharth Sonkar is a Telecommunications, Media, and Technology lawyer at Trilegal, a leading Indian full-service law firm. Siddharth recently graduated from NUJS, Kolkata, with gold medals in ‘Information Technology Law’ and ‘Media and Entertainment Law’ each. In his final year at law school, Siddharth led a group of students as Coordinator of a student committee supervised by a faculty advisor, to submit comments to the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019. The Committee, on the basis of the comments, invited NUJS to appear in-person to discuss the suggested changes, making NUJS the only academic institution to be invited for an in-person appearance. When he is not writing, Siddharth spends most of his time with guitars and dogs.
