Alka Hingorani’s interests in Indian art lie geographically in the lower Himalayas (Himachal Pradesh, in particular), and thematically in issues of aesthetics and identity. She is currently teaching in the Department of History of Art at the University of California, Berkeley. An architect by training, she also holds advanced degrees in City Planning and Photography, and a Ph.D. in History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley.
