Anushka Khan is brought into the hospital in an emergency. She’s been unsuspectingly overdosed with prescription drugs and alcohol, she’s abused and she’s had her forehead cut open. Clearly a victim of domestic violence. Her husband, Akbar, having suspected her of having an extramarital affair with his friend, Rajeev, assaulted her, shot Rajeev, and disappeared.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kamala Jha, a young and diligent IPS officer, investigating the murder of Rajeev soon discovers that Anushka had an affair with Rajeev, which Anushka initially denies, but reluctantly accepts later. ACP Jha also believes Anushka is being vague, not honest. She believes Anushka knows where Akbar is.
