Lit For Life

The Lit For Life conclave is a part of the celebrations organised at Delhi and Chennai to mark the 20 years of The Hindu Literary Review, the only full-fledged literary supplement of any newspaper in country.

The Hindu has always been committed to promoting good literature—both in English and in Indian languages—showcased through the Literary Review. As a part of this commitment and to reward outstanding literary talent in Indian Writing in English, The Hindu Literary Review has instituted The Hindu Best Fiction Award. The literary conclaves in Delhi and Chennai form a part of the build up to the Award for 2011, which will be announced at the end of the Lit for Life celebration at Chennai.

This conclave will attempt to delve in the myriad forms of writing as we traverse sessions on dynastic politics, writing comedy, filmmaking, popular cult writing and bring together literature as a whole in one place.
