Anuradha Sarma Pujari, winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award, is one of the most popular writers in Assam today. She is the author of ten novels, including Mereng, Hriday Ek Bigyapan (My Poems Are Not for Your Ad Campaign), Neel Prajapati and, most recently, Iyat Ekhan Aaronya Asil. She has also written four short-story collections and five essay collections. An editor of the largest Assamese weekly newspaper, Sadin, and the monthly literary magazine Satsori, Pujari hass won the Kumar Kishore Memorial Literary Award from the Asam Sahitya Sabha in 2003.
