Rugmani Prabhakar

Rugmani Prabhakar is a writer, poet, and curator of reflective conversations centred on the lives of subaltern communities both in India and abroad. She has worked as a journalist, a rural development professional, and a facilitator of literary and spiritual gatherings. Her work has taken her across geographies and generations—from rural India to urban cultural spaces—where she has listened deeply to women navigating life’s transitions with courage, wit, and grace.

The Second Spring emerges from decades of close observation, community engagement, and lived inquiry into the emotional and spiritual dimensions of mental health and ageing. Rooted in personal memory and collective insight, her writing blends lyricism with clarity, and intimacy with cultural intelligence.

She lives in Bangalore where she continues to write, mentor, and convene spaces for story-sharing and personal growth among people of all ages and backgrounds.
