Shirin Mehrotra is a food and culture writer and researcher currently based in Delhi. Her work has been published in various national and international publications, including Whetstone Magazine, Feminist Food Journal, Roads & Kingdoms, Condé Nast Traveller India, Mint Lounge, Hindustan Times Brunch and The Locavore, among others. She holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology of Food from SOAS University, London, and her academic essays have been published in the Proceedings of the Oxford Symposium of Food and Cookery 2022 and Food, Culture and Society in India, published in 2025. She writes about the socio-cultural and socio-political aspects of food with a special interest in migration and how they shape the urban foodscapes.
