Soumya Mukerji

Soumya Mukerji is a transdisciplinary writer, editor and journalist. Her writing converges diverse interests: global culture and literature, nature, travel, arts, design and digital creativity, human experience and social issues.

As a narrative journalist for over 16 years, Soumya’s work has appeared in prominent publications such as The Guardian, The Hindu Literary Review and Sunday Magazine, The Bombay Literary Magazine, and Travel & Leisure. With a distinguished career in journalism, Soumya has held key editorial positions at Hindustan Times, NDTV, and The Times of India. She has also led progressive media houses with roles such as Managing Editor of STIRworld and Deputy Editor of Platform Magazine. In addition, Soumya has shared her knowledge as an educator and social impact mentor for reputable institutions.

Soumya’s eclectic upbringing across India immersed her in diverse cultures and ways of life. Her poetry seeks to connect us through our deepest vulnerabilities, wildest wonders, and shared anxieties, fostering empathy and hope for action.
